Next New
A website should be created for people with health problems like lactose intolerance or diabetes so that can help each other. It can be really hard to plan meals that are tasty and nutritious with these kinds of limitations in their diet. With this website, people can help each other by posting recipes of foods they can eat with those problems and how much it would cost them. They can offer suggestions as to whether they can buy certain ingredients for a low price and more.

Wiki So Far
At this time, I have not yet added any content to the wiki. I have been doing some research relating to the role Twitter, Facebook and Youtube had on Egyptian revolution back in January of 2011 to add to the New Media in Politics page. I am looking into adding something about LinkedIn in the business section. I will also be looking through my paper and other articles to see what else I can add to the wiki.

P2P
File sharing is the distribution of digital files on the Internet where others can access and download it. It is extremely common to see nowadays. P2P file sharing is where peers can upload a file and share it with other peers. Those peers will download it and at the same time, upload whatever they have already downloaded so that others receive the file. The more popular a file is, the less time it will take to download it. P2P file sharing makes it quick and easy to download movies or games for free. Many files shared online such as songs or movies are illegal and has cost the American entertainment industry over $20 billion a year, according to the article "Should Online Scofflaws Be Denied Web Access?" (Pfanner, 2009).

Privacy
Privacy issues are a big problem with new media. It is really easy to reveal a lot of personal information while talking to friends on Facebook or other social networking sites. Many people have not adjusted to their privacy settings to protect themselves, either because they do not know about it or they do not care. It is important to be careful about what you talk about on these sites as employers have been asking for passwords to Facebook before hiring someone. Not to mention, employer may use posts on Facebook as a reason to fire someone. Also, if a site is not secure enough and get hacked, your private information could still get stolen by others. When posting online, it is best to assume that anybody can see it so that you do not post anything that can be used against you.
Advice
Baruch should definitely make a blog to keep students updated on the latest news. They can use it to inform students about upcoming events like blood drives or meetings. They could also post useful things like best way to study during midterms and finals week. Twitter, Facebook or Tumblr would also be useful in helping to keep students informed of current events.
